These games will help you build anticipation skills.
1. The mosquito is coming!
Sit your baby in front of you and show your index finger: “The mosquito is coming!”, Make the buzz as you bring it closer to your little one.
Do you follow him with your eyes? Get him close and away, announce his arrival: “He is coming, he is coming, it itches!” And he always ends up in the same place, for example on his neck, tickling him. You have to laugh a lot! With this game you help him develop not only the capacity for anticipation, but also the attention and visual acuity by offering him the opportunity to follow an object.
The day your baby shrinks his neck when listening to the buzz of the mosquito, you will know that he has taken another leap in his development! From then on, make the mosquito find new places to land: the armpits, the tummy, the legs … You will see your baby closely following him to see where his path ends.
2. Blow into the face
Lay the little boy on his back. Come closer to his face and blow very softly.
He will close his eyes. Then you walk away and tickle her belly, trumpets, you smile at her … It’s about them laughing together. After a while you go back to his face and blow him again. After a few times, when the baby sees you get closer to your face, it will close its eyes before you even blow on it. You know what is going to happen. But how clever is your treasure!
3. Soap bubbles
Put your baby in front of you and with great fuss make soap bubbles as big as you can. Direct them towards him.
Depending on their expertise and personality, they will try to move away or, most commonly, make efforts to touch them with their hands. You will see that they explode quickly, before you even touch them, which will generate excitement and laughter. He’ll be nervous right away just by seeing the bubbles: he knows that if he touches them, they’ll explode, and that makes him nervous.
