Circular fashion is no longer the future. We are living it today, with a shift towards the sustainable era that many firms have already joined, from H&M to C&A. Carrefour was the last to jump on the bandwagon, creating two corners of second-hand clothes in Madrid and Barcelona next to the brand second hand Patapam.
The food giant has started working with Patapam to promote the recycling of used clothing, within the framework of The Fashion Pact. For this they have created Second-hand spaces in hypermarkets in Madrid and Barcelona, where they have already sold 4,000 garments that will now have a new life, instead of ending up as mountains of garbage.
The stigma of second-hand clothing is disappearing in our country, with many young people (and not so young) betting on him vintage shopping much more sustainable and respectful with the planet. Carrefour has not wanted to be left behind and has made available to its customers a space where they can make these purchases second hand in Madrid and Barcelona.
its commitment does not end in this collaboration. They also plan that 100% of TEX fabrics will be sustainable and traceable in 2030, guarantee animal welfare in 2023 and their cottons will be organic by 2025. In addition, they include in this manifesto eco friendly reducing the use of water and energy in production.
