Car production increased to 278,824 units, while vehicle exports fell to 231,126 units during November.
From January to November, car production in Mexico accumulates 3,068,810 units, a growth of 9.63% compared to the same period in 2021.
Regarding exports, so far this year 2,622,297 units have been exported from Mexico, that is, 5.76% more than in the period from January to November of last year.
Exports had racked up three consecutive months of growth before the November slump. In fact, in October, exports had reached their best level of the year, with 267,910 units shipped abroad; that is, 36,784 units more than those exported during November,
Nissan, Mercedes Benz and Stellantis were the brands with the largest drop in exports during November. With decreases of 51%, 35.7% and 24.4%, at an annual rate, respectively.
On the other hand, Audi and BMW were the ones that increased their exports the most, by 154% and 192.1%, at an annual rate, respectively.
General Motors continues to be the car producer that exports the most from Mexico. In November 2021, it exported 49,032 cars and in November 2022 it exported 59,041 units, an annual growth of 20.4%.
