Along with the launch of a new main installment of the series, Resident Evil Village, for this 2021, Capcom had planned the launch of Resident Evil Re: Verse, a new commitment by the Japanese company to take the series to the multiplayer aspect through competitive games in key third person shooter where each player controls one of the most charismatic protagonists or villains of the series. Unfortunately, the development team needs a little more time to get the game ready and has announced that, finally, will arrive in 2022.
As stated by the game’s official Twitter account, Resident Evil Re: Verse was planned for this same month of July, but it will be delayed to 2022 so that the study can continue working on offering a «smoother playable experience«. At the moment, the Japanese company did not want to provide a new release dateAlthough it is approximate, but thank the fans for their patience.

It is not the first time that Capcom tries to offer multiplayer experiences of Resident Evil, with greater or less success, but with this Re: Verse, the Japanese company seems to be fully engaged. Although it could already be tested a few months ago through an open beta, we will have to wait until next year to be able to enjoy its final version.
This is not the only delay of a Japanese game that we have had this week, since a few days ago, it was Tango Gameworks who announced the delay of Ghostwire Tokyo to 2022. It should be remembered that Japan is suffering a new and dangerous wave of COVID-19 .
