Razer increases its catalog of peripherals focused on the gaming market and does so with the arrival of two new models of headphones designed for use with consoles. It is about the Kaira X for Xbox and Kaira X for PlayStation, headphones that are also accompanied by other accessories, such as an optional fast-charging base for the Xbox controller.
The difference between both lines focuses on the design, since the specifications are the same. A colorful headset, especially in the case of Xbox when using the basic colors of the Microsoft console line and more discreet in the case of the Sony console.
Same features, different design
As far as specifications are concerned, we are faced with supraural headphones that connect to the console via an analog connection via 3.5 mm cable. This means that although they carry the colors of Microsoft and Sony consoles, they can also be used with PCs or with phones that have a 3.5 mm jack connection port.
The Kaira X for Xbox and Kaira X for PlayStation use inside 50mm Razer TriForce drivers and offer a frequency response ranging from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, with an impedance of 32 Ω and a sensitivity of 96 dBSPL / mW.
In both models the brand has used a Razer HyperClear cob cardioid flexible boom microphone capable of offering a frequency that oscillates between 100 Hz and 10 kHz and a sensitivity of 42 (± 3 dB). For the rest, the only control that the headphones have is the one that allows you to increase or decrease the volume.
Price and availability
The Kaira X Headset for Xbox is available in green (Xbox) and black while the PlayStation model comes in the classic black and white combination that combines PS5. In both cases the price is the same: 69.99 euros.
