Since we are born we tend to form groups. The family is the first and throughout life we develop and define ourselves forming relationships with other people similar to us. The group gives us strength, identity, representativeness, voice, security. At the business level we meet and there are associations or unions that integrate businesses that can compete with each other in the market, but that together grow, establish rules, negotiate common agreements with suppliers and are represented before the authorities to obtain benefits, develop and innovate. in products and services, among many other benefits.
The friendly or respectful bond forged by people with common interests or affections is known as camaraderie. Camaraderie, association and/or business and political participation; They must be the entrepreneur’s own activities seeking economic benefit and well-being through the generation of jobs and the generation of wealth for his community.
“Man is a social being by nature” is a phrase from the philosopher Aristotle (384-322, BC) to verify that we are born with the social characteristic and we develop it throughout our lives, since we need the others to survive. According to Aristotle, he “is” insofar as he “co-is”. This means that each man has an individual dimension that develops his personality or his “being”, and that said dimension is integrated into the social dimension of man, for coexistence in community since he is born, resulting in coexistence.

A great example of an association of businessmen who achieve common objectives, but with work at the local level is the Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce, Services and Tourism (Concanaco Servytur) which was established on November 3, 1917, and is made up of 256 Chambers of Commerce and 650 delegations throughout the country, representing 750,000 companies in the trade, services and tourism sectors. The economic activity it generates is equivalent to 55 percent of the national GDP and 60 percent of employment in Mexico, which is why it is the largest and most representative organization in Mexico.
It is worth recognizing the effort made by the brands of Jalisco wings by putting aside their personal interests and looking for the common benefit by meeting in a purchasing committee and forming a common front against suppliers, achieving better prices on inputs with a benefit for each brand in particular and with a positive financial result in their corresponding income statements of their own units and their franchised units; effort that should be an example for all industries.
In the field of franchises, the International Franchise Association is the world’s largest organization for franchisors, franchisees and franchise providers; organizes industry leading events, promotion, education and growth opportunities for the franchise community in the United States. In Mexico, there is the Mexican Franchise Association, the first effort in the mid-80s of a business association in the franchise sector, where Lic. Gonzalez Calvillo (IFA representative in Mexico) and Engineer Luis Luna Neve from KFC brought together franchising businessmen to represent the industry and achieve that for the first time the franchise model was recognized in Mexican law, achieving the arrival of American brands in national territory with the consequent economic benefit.
Regional efforts such as the Northern Franchise Association, the Sinaloa Franchise Association, the Nuevo León Brand and Franchise Association, the Puebla Franchise Association and different specialized franchise sections within Canaco such as the Chihuahua and Guadalajara, and others. This February 7, the Jalisco Franchise Association (one of the most active and representative business groups in our country) is constituted with the participation of more than 100 brands, in an event within the Pan-American University and within the framework of the Franchise Meeting Jalisco, with the representation of the government, academia and the business sector, is undoubtedly an example of unprecedented collaboration in our country.
New times are coming where camaraderie will be essential for the growth of franchises in Mexico, a new Mexican confederation of Franchises is about to arrive and new franchise associations in the states. Under the principle of local work with a global vision, the paradigm of centralist representation is broken.
Each person knows how to do business in their land, knows their people, their customs, their authorities and their way of doing business; each person has their own way of moving the atole, goes the Mexican saying. If each group works locally and develops the local economy, but confederates to act globally, we will soon have a really strong and representative franchise sector that helps brands grow nationally and internationally. The great absentees are still the Franchisees, but that is the subject of a future collaboration.
