The studio is looking to fill a creative director vacancy for a new third-person shooter.
Since Bungie’s purchase, the creators of Halo and Destiny, by Sony for 3.6 billion dollars, we have speculated on what the studio could offer us from then on. To tell the truth, yes, we already knew that they had new projects in mind, but we did not know any details about it. Well, it seems that now we have the first indications, since A job offer has been published on the developer’s website which indicates that they are working on a new third person action title.
Specifically, in the aforementioned vacancy, Bungie is looking for a Creative Director to take on the tasks of creating a Vision Document, Feature List, and Tech Specs., which also indicates that this new game still has a long way to go to start its development as such. Therefore, whoever occupies this place of work, will span multiple playable prototypes to ensure they are heading in the right direction and will be actively present during all phases of developmentaccording to the study itself.
In addition to this, the developer is also looking to fill other positions within the studio, since we can see that looking for a level designer and a scenario artist, but these offers may not be related to the new project mentioned. That yes, it seems for the two previous offers they ask for experience in third-person games and that they have worked in platform games or with isometric view.
Bearing all this in mind, it must be remembered that, this project may not be something exclusive to PlayStation, since, as already mentioned, Bungie will be an independent subsidiary of the Japanese company. Now, what we can be clear about is that the studio will be a fundamental part of the development of games as a service by Sony, so it will be necessary to see if this new project has something to do with this type of game. Be that as it may, we will have to wait a long time to have information about this new game, as it is still at a very, very, early stage.
