The Eurobike 2022 held in Frankfurt has served to learn about many of the news in the electric bicycle sector for the coming months. One of the outstanding products has been the Bosch Smart Systemwhich is updated after being presented last year.
The system developed by the German brand includes numerous functionalities, all of them focused on improve security, performance and experience of the user on the bicycle.
ABS
We already told you weeks ago: the anti-lock wheel system is one of the main weapons of the system, since it allows apply both brakes simultaneously without locking the front wheel. This prevents skidding or rear wheel lifting. And it achieves it thanks to a sensor attached to the front fork, which is in charge of controlling the speed at all times.
This system, which can be configured with up to five different modes, reduces its weight by 55% and its dimensions by 77% for the new version.
Alarm
With the collaboration of the ConnectModule system, the alarm beeps and sends a notification to the mobile when the bike has been moved from its parking spot. In addition, it maintains its location at all times through GPS tracking.
batteries
Bosch Smart System batteries are updated and gain size. The new one Power Pack 545 weighs 3kg. and offers a capacity of 545 Wh. For its part, the Power Pack 725 reaches 4 kg. of weight and has a 725 Wh capacity, being perfect for long journeys and cargo bikes.
