Cryptocurrency startup BitBase and currency exchange company Eurochange have reached an agreement to partner, reporting that ehe first fruit of this alliance will be to place a BitBase cryptocurrency ATM in each of the 30 Eurochange stores in Spain, where at the moment there are already two operating in Madrid and Benidorm, and they will soon be installed in all the remaining physical establishments that it has in the Iberian country.
The two-way alliance will allow, in the short term, to make exchanges to buy cryptocurrencies in currencies other than BitBase’s in Eurochange stores, and will also enable the option of making currency exchanges in BitBase stores with Eurochange. .
For its part, from Bitbase, which a week ago announced its arrival in Portugal and revealed expansion plans to Latin America, have described this alliance as an excellent strategy for the union of two companies that offer different but compatible services. “Joining forces and surrounding yourself with the best is usually an excellent strategy. If two companies offer different but compatible services, why not unite and increase the offer of each of them? That is exactly what we have done,” they commented.
To be one of the companies with the most cryptocurrency ATMs in Europe
In this sense, with this agreement, the Spanish startup will establish itself as the company with the most cryptocurrency ATMs in Spain, being able to become the third in Europe and making Spain ascend to the third step of the podium among the countries with the most digital currency dispensers in the world.
“The sign of identity by which the founders of BitBase wanted to be recognized from the beginning is their desire to democratize the crypto ecosystem and bring it closer to all interested people, whatever their knowledge and expertise with new technologies,” they said.
According to Coin ATM Radar and company statements, BitBase has 64 cryptocurrency ATMs installed (63 in Spain – not yet counting the two that already work in Eurochange stores – and one in Portugal).
“All this is going to go further, because to those 63 it will be necessary to add another two that will be installed immediately, plus the 30 that are the result of the agreement with Eurochange and 20 more that have already been requested and will arrive in the near future. In other words, very shortly, BitBase will have 115 cryptocurrency ATMs in Spain. This implies a series of milestones that we should highlight: its consolidation as the company with the most cryptocurrency ATMs in Spain, adding that of Portugal, will be 116 in the Old Continent, becoming the third with the most cryptocurrency dispensers in Europe, and As if that were not enough, it will make Spain unseat El Salvador as the third country with the most cryptocurrency ATMs in the world, far exceeding 200”, they stated.
