Through ClimateTrade, the Spanish cryptocurrency platform Bit2Me has offset the CO2 emissions generated in 2020. This was reported through an official channel.
As explained from Bit2Me, in total they have managed to counteract 29 tons of CO2. As part of its commitment to achieve carbon neutrality, the exchange has set new goals to reduce its environmental impact by 2030. To do this has developed a two-phase decarbonization plan.
The first is to measure and offset your corporate carbon footprint. The second is to integrate the ClimateTrade API so that its clients can offset the emissions resulting from their transactions or operations, which will allow both the company and its users to control the environmental impact of mining, buying, selling and withdrawing their cryptocurrencies.
In addition, Bit2Me is trying to lessen the environmental impact of Bitcoin mining, using low-carbon energy sources while privileging relationships with suppliers that are on the same path.
