The ChatGPT artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot took the world by storm upon its latest release in late November 2022. Although initial reactions included a lot of opposition to the technology, it continues to see increasing deployments.
Cryptocurrency exchange and blockchain developer Binance announced that it is integrating ChatGPT into its Binance Academy educational platform. In a blog post published on April 24, the company introduced its new AI-based tool, which it calls “Binance Sensei.”

The bot uses machine learning to get answers from Binance’s educational platform, Binance Academy, to help answer user questions on various topics in the Web3 space.
This new “AI-powered mentor” has users tell him a specific question or keywords, from which the Sensei must provide a “concise summary, approximately 150 words” for each user.
On Twitter, the Binance community has already begun to react to the news of the AI-powered mentor, with users questioning allowing a “robot to be their teacher.”
Would you let a robot be your teacher? I don’t think I will

Binance’s new AI-based learning tool is far from the first use case for the technology in the cryptocurrency space, with AI even playing a role in bringing more efficiency to the memecoin community.
Big tech giants like Microsoft, Google, and e-commerce giant Alibaba have announced their own versions of ChatGPT.
While the rush to AI has led to adoption of the technology, it has also led to increased concern about its capabilities if left unchecked. Italy was the first to briefly ban the use of this technology, while European Union regulators have decided to investigate the AI algorithms of big tech companies.
Industry insiders speculate about a forthcoming regulatory crackdown on AI as it becomes more pervasive.
The Chinese authorities are also willing to impose mandatory security reviews for all AI services in the country.
