Bimbo group made an alliance with FC Barcelona to become the new sponsor of your women’s soccer team. Now, the logo of the Mexican brand can be seen on the players’ shirts along with those of Nike Y Spotifyamong others.
“FC Barcelona and Grupo Bimbo® have signed an agreement with which the largest Mexican food company and bakery in the world becomes a Global Partner of the Club and a Main Partner of the women’s first team, with which the logo of its brand global BIMBO® will appear for the first time on the sleeve of the Blaugrana women’s team,” the Catalan club announced in a statement.
“The alliance also reaches La Masia, the FC Barcelona training center that has become an international benchmark in the field of sports and human training,” the sports organization added.
True to its entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to promoting talent, Grupo Bimbo also recently announced the launch of Bimbo Open Doorthe largest business accelerator for food startups in Latin America.
With how much money will Bimbo sponsor women’s Barcelona?
So far, neither party has confirmed the agreed amounts or the duration of the contract. However, the medium 2Playbook ensures that they would be €3.5 millionthat is, about 70 million Mexican pesos.
The Barça women’s first team expects to double revenue from advertising and marketing, to 8 million euros, in the 2022/2023 season. The group seeks to obtain 12 million in total income, at least, to reach profitability; and Bimbo’s sponsorship is key to achieving it.
The Bimbo logo will make its debut on the Barcelona women’s shirts this Wednesday, October 20, in the Women’s Champions League match against Benfica at the Estadi Johan Cruyff.
That same day the alliance will be officially announced and more details of the sponsorship will be given, in an event with the team’s starting players. In addition to Jane Fernandez Y Salma Paralluelowill be present Alexia Putellasone of the best soccer players in the world and recent winner of the Golden Ball.
They will also be attended by Juli Guiuvice president of marketing for Barcelona; Albert Levy, vice president of global marketing for Bimbo; Y Rose PraiseGlobal Senior Director of Bimbo.
