After months of rumors and a multitude of leaks, the Samsung Galaxy S23 are now official. The South Korean company has announced up to three new members who arrive to compete against flagship smartphones from Apple and other manufacturers during the first half of the year; On the one hand, the Galaxy S23 Ultra, with S-Pen and a camera of up to 200 megapixels, among other features. On the other, the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Pluswhich include significant improvements in performance and autonomy compared to its predecessors.

The new Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus also come with some aesthetic changes compared to the models that the company announced last year. Now they look a little more like the Ultra model, since the cameras no longer have a specific module, but instead protrude individually from the back.

The back, yes, maintains the glass with a matte finish that contrasts with aluminum frames in a bright tone and a front with hardly any frames and with a flat screen in both cases.

And speaking of the screen. The Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus retain the technology, size and resolution of the panels of their predecessors. The base model, therefore, has a screen 6.1-inch Dynamic AMOLED with Full HD+ resolution.

The Samsung Galaxy S23+, on the other hand, bets on a 6.6-inch diagonal. Also with Full HD + resolution, AMOLED technology and, in both cases, a refresh rate of 120 Hz. As a novelty, of course, the screen now has Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ have exactly the same camera. Where the Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ really improve compared to their predecessors, is in the area of ​​performance and autonomy. Samsung has decided to do without its Exynos chips to bet on Qualcomm, and specifically, on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. This SoC, in particular, is capable of offering a Up to 41% faster GPU compared to the Exynos 2200 that included the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+.

Regarding autonomy, the Samsung Galaxy S23 now has a 3,900mAh battery Compared to the 3,700 mAh of its predecessor, as well as a 25W fast charge that reaches 50% of the battery in 30 minutes.

The Galaxy S23 Plus, on the other hand, has a 4,700 mAh battery. That is, 200 mAh more than its predecessor. In this case, with a 45W load capable of supplying 65% battery in 30 minutes.
