A press report claims that The Flash would be Ben Affleck’s last film as Batman in the DC Comics Extended Universe.
One of the most anticipated films in 2022 is The Flash, not only because of the return of the Scarlet Sprinter, or because of Sasha Calle’s debut as Supergirl, the return of Ben Affleck as Batman is also striking, in what could be the The actor’s latest adventure as the Dark Knight.

According to the Giant Freakin Robot site, The Flash will be Ben Affleck’s last appearance as Batman, and his last scenes will begin shooting in September at the London location, where the film directed by Andy Muschietti is filmed.
It is unknown if this decision was made by Affleck himself, or was made by Warner Bros executives, who are defining the new DC Comics projects on the big screen.
In 2020 Affleck wore the Bat Man cape again in the Justice League re-recordings, where he returned to work under Zack Snyder.
What will happen to Batman in the DCEU?
According to the same report, Giant Freakin Robot, Ben Affleck and Warner Bros have worked to ‘cede’ the baton to Michael Keaton, who will be a mentor to heroes in DC Comics movies.
Ben Affleck was selected on August 23, 2013 to play Bruce Wayne / Batman in the film Batman v Superman, under the direction of Zack Snyder.
Affleck appeared as Batman once again in Justice League, and in a series of cameos within Suicide Squad.
In 2019 Ben Affleck gave the baton as director to Matt Reeves, who in March 2022 will make the return of Batman a reality in an individual film, after a decade of absence of the hero on the big screen.
“I tried directing a version of the film and working with a good screenwriter, but I couldn’t create a good version. I could not do it. So I decided it was time to let someone else try. (The Batman) It has good people working on it, and that has me excited”.
With the script by Christina Hodson, The Flash will be directed by Argentine filmmaker Andrés Muschetti and will feature Ezra Miller as Barry Allen / Flash, Sasha Calle as Kara Zor-El / Supergirl, Maribel Verdú as Nora Allen, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, and Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck, both as Bruce Wayne / Batman.
