the society of Ben Affleck and Matt Damon has been productive at the cinematographic level, reaching countless recognitions such as the Oscar for the film ‘Good Will Hunting’. For this reason, the couple of actors now want to deepen their business ideas within Hollywood.
Affleck and Damon started a production company together to combat the prevalence of streaming services and dwindling paychecks.
According to The New York Times, the actors’ production company called Artists Equity will develop several studio productions, thus giving up working for other production companies.

A partnership with capital
According to the information provided by the American media, the duo received close to $100 million in financing from the investment firm RedBird Capital Partners, making it good capital to start working.
Affleck says that Artists Equity plans to launch three projects in the next year, eventually reaching a goal of five per year. First on the list: Affleck and Damon’s as-yet-untitled Prime Video movie about Michael Jordan’s landmark deal with Nike in the 1980s that would feature Viola Davis, Jason Bateman, Chris Tucker, and Marlon Wayan.
“This is partly an effort to try to recapture some of that value and share it in a way that’s more equitable,” Affleck says. “Not just writers, directors and stars. But also cinematographers, editors, costume designers and other crucial artists who, in my opinion, are very underpaid.”
He adds: “I know what kind of freedoms artists crave and how they can be empowered, treated like adults.”
The projects that the actors prepare will see light from next year.
