Nothing Stops Us is a challenge from Nike that calls athletes around the world to compete by exercising from home. Are you ready?
“If you have a body, you are an athlete”
With this phrase from Bill Bowerman, co-founder of Nike, the sports brand kicks off a campaign to motivate all of us who are trapped at home by the coronavirus pandemic. No matter how advanced your physical performance is or how intense your training, the rigor of cultivating your body has made you adapt to the circumstances.
As exercising at home can be difficult to organize — you may not have enough equipment or the spaces are not ideal — through Nike apps you can keep moving from home. Even a daily plank on your floor fourth could make a difference. You can find health and nutrition tips, or specific training programs, in Nike’s digital ecosystem ( its website, its social networks and the official platform of the challenge that we will tell you below ) and prepare for global competition.
Competition
To participate in Nothing Stops Us, you need to download the Nike Run Club and Nike Training Club applications, as well as sign up for NikePlus (it’s completely free).
Once you’re registered, it’s just a matter of choosing the routines that you like the most. It doesn’t matter that you and your squad members don’t have the same goals or the same training level, what counts in this competition is the minutes of exercise they accumulate. Whether some do yoga, others do HIIT, and others do weights, everyone’s minutes come together and add to a global leaderboard.
The reward? With enough minutes you can win an official Nike kit. The true victory? Know that not only you have known how to give continuity to the daily effort of a comprehensive workout, but that you are backed by a world community. Times are adverse, but the will to be better is stronger.
