Battlefield 2042 is EA’s largest launch of the remainder of the year, the highly anticipated return of the Battlefield series with the most ambitious delivery yet, but in the last few hours the voices that predict a imminent game delay. The delay could be announced this week, they point out.
The main promoter of this idea is the well-known journalist Jeff Grubb, who after the announcement of the delay of Dying Light 2 in early 2022, wrote on his personal Twitter account that it won’t be the last delay we see this week. “I will add that I actually mean a specific delay,” says the journalist.
I’ll add that I’m actually referring to a singular delay.

But the thing is not there, since those who have personally pointed to Battlefield 2042 are two well-known insiders, Sphesal_Nick and Dealer_Gaming. The latter suggests that the new of DICE would go to 2022, while Nick, one of the members of the Xbox Era podcast who suggested the exclusivity of the Indiana Jones game, suggests a delay of a month or so (via Altchar).

At the moment, despite the rumors, there has been no official announcement by EA. According to Jeff Grubb, the news would take place this week, so we will have to be vigilant in case it was Battlefield 2042 or any other game. As far as we are concerned, Battlefield 2041 continues to be dated October 22 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and PC. In fact, the arrival of a beta was leaked in a very few days in advance of its October launch. We will see what the thing is in the next few days.
