Ubisoft announced that as of August 24, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will run at 60fps on Xbox Series X | S. This will be the new update that the game will receive that seeks to improve the operation of the game in the new generation. This patch, which is version 1.6.0, is scheduled to be released at 8:00 AM CEST on August 24 and will take up approximately 370MB on Xbox. No additional improvements have been included in the patch, apart from this update to the frame rate.
However, it is not at all negligible, quite the opposite. Updating the games of the last generation to run at 60fps is undoubtedly one of the best things that the new generation has brought, completely renewing the experience of the players.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will run at 60fps on Xbox Series X | S
The most important thing about this update whereby Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will run at 60fps is that not a full next-gen update. Since both consoles went on sale at the end of last year, many studios have been releasing new updates to adapt their games to next-gen platforms and have created dedicated ports for these devices in the process. Instead, this patch is simply going to make the game that much better in its backward-compatible form.

It remains to be seen if in the future a new dedicated version will be created of the game for PS5 and Xbox Series X | S, although it does not seem very likely. All in all, this patch is enough to give a revamp to this game that already looked fantastic in the past generation.
