Something that the Pokémon community has been asking non-stop for many years is to get to see an installment of the saga that has an open world, something that seemed like it was finally going to happen with Pokémon Legends: Arceus because of everything that has been seen in its different videos. However, as they say, appearances can be deceiving and finally it won’t be like that.
The Pokémon Company has come on stage to confirm to Kotaku that the mechanics of the scenarios will be more similar to that of a Monster Hunter. The whole plot and the missions that we will receive will begin in Villa Jubileo, an area that will the home base function from the Hisui region.
As players receive orders and prepare for the next adventure, they will be sent out of this village to explore several of the different places in Hisui. Once they finish the task they will return to the village to prepare once more for the next objective and so on.
Naturally that does not mean that each of the different areas or subareas that we will visit are tremendously huge, but it will not be like going anywhere in the world that we want, as for example in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. In any case, The Pokémon Company has promised to offer more details soon for the launch of Pokémon Legends: Arceus that will take place on January 28, 2022 on Nintendo Switch.
