The nerdist site reports that the HBO Max platform will produce the adaptation of the graphic novel You Brought Me to Ocean, authored by Alex Sanchez and Jul Maroh, and Charlize Theron will executive produce the show.
You Brought Me to Ocean tells the story of Jack Hyde, a teenage member of the LGBT community who moves to the East Coast to continue his university studies. Hyde begins to struggle with his manifesting powers, coupled with his feelings and his sexual orientation.
This Aqualad story takes place outside of DC Comics continuity. But it is focused on adolescent and young adult audiences, as part of graphic novels such as Beast Boy loves Raven, Catwoman: Under the Moon and Harley Quinn: Broken Glass, among others.
There is no confirmed date to start filming this series, or its release date, but this new DC Comics proposal will arrive through the HBO Max platform.
