Epic games continues to suffer the consequences for having sued Manzana. Let’s remember that a few weeks ago, the judge Yvonne gonzalez rogers established that Manzana You must authorize other developers to allow them to implement their own payment systems within the App Store. Despite this, Epic was the loser at trial as all other claims came out in favor of Manzana, and now the developers of Fortnite they will be left without the option to return the game to this digital store for a very long time.
In a statement from the legal department of Manzana, it can be read that the apple company chose not to reestablish developer access for Epic, so Fortnite will not be able to return to App Store until the judge’s verdict is final. How long will all this be resolved? Well it could well be up to five years from today. Tim Sweeney, CEO of Epic Games, was in charge of sharing the news via his account Twitter.
“Last night, Apple informed Epic that Fortnite would be blocked from the Apple ecosystem until the final verdict is final, which could be as long as five years.”

Evidently, Sweeney is not at all satisfied with this decision and accused Apple of “having anti-competitive practices”, which demonstrate “its power to shape markets and choose who wins and who loses.”
“Apple lied. Apple spent a year telling the world, the court, and the press that “they would welcome Epic to the App Store if they agreed to abide by the same rules as everyone else.” Epic agreed, and now Apple has proven to abuse its powerful monopoly over billions of users. “

Now this does not mean that Fortnite will be out of the App Store for exactly five years, but it’s definitely a possibility. Luckily, the game is available on pretty much every other device out there.
