Apple has decided to close its four stores in Madrid again due to the total lack of control that is experienced in Spain in everything that has to do with the COVID-19 epidemic.
For some reason, the company’s management in Spain has decided that the situation is too dangerous to continue with its stores open, despite all the security measures they have implemented since they reopened after initial lockdown.
For several months, they have taken your temperature before entering, where they separate all the customers into two queues; one to serve those who do not have a reservation, and another for those who do.
In that queue, everyone must maintain a safety distance marked on the ground, and when entering when another client has left, they proceed to rinse their hands with a hydroalcoholic disinfectant gel and put on gloves. Then, they take you to the table where they serve you.
This is the schedule that Apple now indicates, for example, for its Puerta del Sol store, in whose building its offices in Spain are also located on an upper floor.
This is bad news for all those who require repairs, although this service can continue to be contacted by phone so that a courier can go to your home and pick up your iPhone, iPad or Mac so that it is sent to a repair center that is curiously in Eastern Europe, or at least that is what we have been able to see by following up on the packages of two repairs that we have had to carry out recently.
There is no news on when they will be able to open their stores again. The Apple Store in Puerto Venecia in Zaragoza is still closed.
