Andrew Garfield rejected for this movie for not being handsome

Actor Andrew Garfield was turned down for a major movie role for not being handsome enough.

The life of the actor is very complicated as he has to face a lot of rejection until he can get his big break. Who was going to tell Andrew Garfield that after not getting the role of Prince caspian in the second installment of Narnia which premiered in 2008, would become Spider-man in 2012.

Now, it has been the actor himself Andrew Garfield who wanted to reveal the reason why he did not get that role:

I remember being so desperate. I auditioned for Prince Caspian in The Chronicles of Narnia and I thought: This could be, this could be. And that handsome, brilliant actor Ben Barnes ended up getting the part. I think it was between him and me, and I remember he was obsessed. I asked my agent: Why not me? Eventually he broke down from my incessant scolding and said, It’s because they don’t think you’re handsome enough, Andrew. Ben Barnes is a very handsome and talented man. So in hindsight I’m not unhappy with the decision and I think he did a beautiful job. “
