A great moment from Spider-Man: No Way Home is when the three Spider-Men point at each other mimicking the meme, Andrew Garfield talked about it.
In an interview with Josh Horowitz for the Happy, Sad, Confused podcast, Andrew Garfield recounted how the Spider-Men pointing finger meme happened to be recreated in the movie Spider-Man: No Way Home.
The origin of the meme dates back to the episode “Double Identity” of the 1967 Spider-Man animated series. And although it was previously reproduced in a post-credits scene of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, in live action it was recreated by the three Peter Parkers, played by Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in Spider-Man: No Way Home. }

The action takes place in Doctor Strange’s laboratory, when the heroes search for the cure for the villains and point at each other when they hear the name “Peter” pronounced by Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalon). Commenting on the scene, Garfield commented, “We were trying to figure it out, ‘how are we going to do the pointing thing in a way that [tenga sentido]? It took us a while. It happened naturally as we were on the scaffolding deciding, ‘Peter #1, Peter #2, Peter #3.’ I actually remember having a spark and running to the set and telling Jon [Watts, el director]: ‘I got it, I got it, I got it!’”
Garfield goes on to say that there is a moment where Ned says, “Hey, Peter! And we all say, ‘Yes?’ But, in the script, that was it. We all said ‘yes,’ and then my Peter says, ‘This is never going to get old.’ Something like sarcastic, which didn’t feel quite right at the moment, because [estar los tres juntos] it’s cute. It’s actually very pretty. So I remember thinking, ‘This is adorable. We are so adorable’… This is the moment where we can say: [señalándonos] ‘Did you mean me, or did you mean the other [Peter]?’. And Jon was like, ‘That’s it! It is done. It is done’. I was so glad that worked. It was so fun and creative and free.”
