For this reason, we gave ourselves the task of taking a moment to reflect, not only on what has been achieved, but also on the challenges that remain pending to guarantee the comprehensive well-being of children and adolescents in the world and in our country.
In this 2023, Save the Children turns 50 working for children and adolescents in Mexico. During these decades we have achieved many milestones and experienced many success stories, but we continue to work every day so that every last child and adolescent has a better present and future.
Among the most vulnerable population of children and adolescents are those who, due to the conflicts that plague their countries, enter Mexico irregularly, seeking protection and a life far from violence and poverty. Just last October, we activated a humanitarian response in San Pedro Tapanatepec, Oaxaca, to help improve the living conditions of the more than 10,000 migrants who came to take refuge.
For this reason, this year, we will promote that they have access to services that meet their basic needs, contribute to their education and life skills, and create protective environments that prevent and address any form of violence, abuse or exploitation.
Childhood and adolescence are the present and the future of humanity, and as such deserve that their right to development, participation, recreation, protection and survival are protected.
This 2023 we will work, every day and particularly in times of crisis, on actions at the national and local level, with long-term positive impacts, which guarantee immediate and lasting changes in their lives.
We know that they will be difficult paths, but we are confident that this is a path that is traveled in company. If you also want to be part of this path, our arms will always be waiting for you to join our causes. You can always find us in our Website, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, instagram, TikTok, Spotify Y Youtube.
