Avowed was originally introduced over a year ago, and during the announcement we could see what it was pointing to the new Obsidian title. This company is well known for developing RPG games like Fallout: New Vegas or The Outer Worlds, and of course Avowed will arrive under the same gender of these last two. New details about the title appear to have leaked in a Reddit post, and although it clarifies several aspects of Avowed’s bottom line, ensures that the game could take time to finish its development.
According to the user account through Reddit, Avowed would have several characteristics already defined. However, the user in charge of filtering the information has ensured that, for now, is unable to demonstrate with evidence the quality of this filtration, so let’s take the information with a grain of salt.
Avowed will not arrive before 2024
First, the filtration ensures that Avowed would not finish its development until 2024, so it will take a long time to arrive. Nowadays, Obsidian’s title would be in its early stages development, although it is expected to gain more momentum once Josh sawyer get involved in the development of the game. On the other hand, Avowed has no plans to be like Skyrimbut hopes to look more like The Outer Worlds, another Obsidian game, and would have a great huge open map.
In the filtration the user also adds that development of The Outer Worlds 2 would be in pre-production barely, and that until the moment of writing this article the game he takes almost nothing developed.
Avowed is being developed as exclusive to Xbox Series X / S and PC, and according to new rumors, its release window appears to be open for 2024 or later of those dates. We’ve known for a few months that Xbox will give Obsidian the necessary resources to develop Avowed, so quite an outstanding quality game is expected.
