An artist imagines the first evolution of Sprigatito in Pokémon Scarlet and Purple

On February 27, exactly a month ago, the ninth generation of Pokémon was announced to the surprise of manythis being one that would arrive with Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Purple as the couple of editions that would carry the banner of this new stage of the franchise.

In this way, it can be said that to date we have hardly been able to see information related to these titles, since beyond the confirmation of already known Pokémon species, we have only seen the three initial Pokémon of these editions, these being Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly, of the plant, fire and water types respectively.

Sprigatito would evolve into a lynx according to fan theories

Also, along with this little information regarding the new Pokémon, it must be said that everything indicates that the new region is based on Spainwhich gives rise to many theorizing with the final evolutions of the initial ones, since, if we take into account what was seen in Galar, these three Pokémon could take elements of Spanish culture for its evolutions.

Under this premise, and focusing on the Grass-type initial, many theorize with an evolution of Sprigatito based on an Iberian lynx, since this is one of the most characteristic animals of our country. In fact, it is even the mascot of a milk brand.

In any case, the truth is that today we have no official confirmation of anything, but given its appearance, it is theorized with a fairy-type evolution of Sprigatito, as happened with Primarina. And with this idea in mind, a fan would have combined both elements:

You can already see that this Pokémon would fit quite well as an evolution for a starter, although we will still have to wait to see if the final result is anything like what was seen. Also, it must be said that the initials are being objects of different works by the fans.

For the rest, it only remains to say that Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Purple will be released later this year exclusively for Nintendo Switch, the most likely month to see it in store (in view of the background) is November.
