The world of NFTs is not having a good time when it comes to selling art, but other uses for this technology are already appearing that could have a better impact on the market. That is the case with HeirloomDAO, a platform that allows companies and users to create and license digital products through NFTs.
With a team based in Argentina, the company proposes a new paradigm in relation to the ownership and transfer of digital licenses, which opens new opportunities for users and for companies that develop software or services.
“HeirloomDAO is a crypto platform that enables the acquisition and trading of digital software licenses and lifetime subscriptions in the form of Non-Fungible Tokens. Companies can raise capital by selling their licenses directly to users. The platform will fulfill the purpose of being a verification service that will recognize users who have a specific NFT license in their wallets and will provide them with access credentials to the product they own”, explained Mariano Maisterrena. CEO of HeirloomDAO. He added: “At the same time, users will be free to trade, exchange or give away their NFTs to other users. A marketplace will facilitate the transfer of licenses, which will be linked to the NFT tokens instead of the personal data of an account, as is the case with traditional licenses.”
“Certifying software and permanent subscriptions through NFTs is something that had not yet been tried and there was no platform on the market that could respond to this need. HeirloomDAO differentiates itself from other software providers by establishing a decentralized architecture that enables users to own the products they own in every sense of the word,” said Maisterrena.
Within the range of licenses supported by the platform, productivity applications, content creation applications, video games, digital services and other types of subscriptions that developers wish to offer can be included.
On the other hand, the company offers as a service helping companies make the transition to the web3 development ecosystem. Developing NFTs is a complex task that can leave out many companies looking to step into this space. The company proposes to remove the barrier to entry by introducing a no-code alternative that enables a smooth transition to a high-potential market.
“The opportunities for web3 development become more apparent every day, with billions of dollars traded in NFTs during 2021. Currently, about 23% of millennials in the United States own some form of NFT. In addition, some 250,000 wallets carry out the sale of NFTs every month”, detailed the CEO.
The platform
The HeirloomDAO platform is built on the EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) framework, with initial release on the Polygon ecosystem. Progressively, bridges would be created to operate in other Blockchains compatible with EVM.
As they explained, the platform will be managed as a decentralized and autonomous organization (DAO), in which the new HELI token will be used both to carry out transactions and to obtain the right to vote in the decisions of the organization. During the second quarter of this year, the official launch of the HELI token and the first NFT license transactions on the platform will take place.
