AMLO called the legislators of the option traitors to the country, after the ruling against the electricity reform.
During the morning, AMLO indicated that he will seek new measures to protect the interests and resources of Mexicans.
The constitutional reform in electrical matters, presented by President Andrés Manuel, was rejected by the Chamber of Deputies.
During the morning conference known colloquially as the morning, the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, referred on different occasions to the negative ruling that was presented within the Chamber of Deputies of Mexico, on the night of Sunday, April 17, in where the approval of the constitutional reform in electrical mattersand where supporters of the fourth transformation, did not achieve the majority required for this project to be carried out.
For this reason, within one of the interventions that took place throughout the morning of today, April 18 of the current year, within the morning conference, the president, accused the legislators of the option as “traitors to the country”, this after being questioned about his impressions, after the negative ruling obtained within the Chamber of Deputies.
AMLO points out treason against the country after rejection of the electrical reform
Within the period established for the vote on the approval of the electrical reform proposed by the President of Mexico, the Chamber of Deputies chose not to approve it, contrary to what was expected, by the followers of the fourth procedure, this being one of the first major defeats that the new government has faced, due to the fact that 223 votes against and 275 votes in favor were registered, a figure that was far from the 334 necessary for the approval of the reform.therefore AMLO described the legislators who voted against as traitors to the country and pointed out:
“I believe that yesterday an act of betrayal of Mexico was committed by a group of legislators who, instead of defending the interests of the nation, of the public, became outspoken defenders of foreign companies that are dedicated to thriving by stealing , and these deputies backed the looters.” AMLO.
New measures in the face of rejection of the electrical reform
As he had already advanced weeks ago, AMLO ratified this morning his position regarding the protection of the interests of the nation and the protection of natural resources and announced that legislators already have a new project in which it is intended to make changes to the Mining Law, for the protection of natural resources such as LITHIUM.
It is worth mentioning that in addition to the proposal to change the mining law, the president announced that he will seek to stop the release of electricity generation, they seek to rescue the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), pseeking to reduce or, failing that, cancel private contracts, in addition to promoting that only the state can exploit natural resources, conditioning, reducing and seeking the recovery of the mining company at the hands of the Mexicans.
In addition to mentioning that measures will begin to be taken on other sectors of economic importance for the country, taking into account the tourist, fishing and production sectors of important resources for the nation, this after being questioned about conflicts related to the conflict of interest in naval schools in Veracruzwhere he ratified the interest mentioned in previous conferences, to take care of the nation’s resources.
