From medicines to athletes, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador changed the destination of the resources to be obtained with the National Lottery draw on September 15, which includes a box at the Azteca Stadium.
Last May, when he announced the raffle, which also includes 22 properties, including houses, apartments and ranches, the president said that the resources would be used for the purchase of medicines and vaccines, as well as scholarships.

However, this morning he affirmed that the money will be for the recognitions that will be given to the Olympic and Paralympic athletes who recently participated in Tokyo.
“This raffle is very important and I call on the population and those who can help by buying a little piece or two or three or whatever they wish, because what we get from this raffle will be to help athletes, it will be used the resource obtained from the draw to support those who participated in the Olympic Games, both in the first stage and in the Paralympics, ”said López Obrador in his conference at the National Palace.
“All athletes will receive support, and that resource will come out of this raffle, which is also very attractive for those who like soccer, as a box is raffled at the Azteca Stadium.”

In turn, Roberto Jacinto Rodríguez, deputy director general of Marketing of the National Lottery, stressed that the draw will be the first with prizes in kind and detailed that the properties to be raffled are located in Mexico City, Baja California, Jalisco, Guanajuato, Querétaro , Sinaloa, Morelos and Guerrero.
The 22 awards are as follows:
- 8 houses, one of them in Jardines del Pedregal, south of the CDMX, with 3 thousand square meters and a value of 7 million 260 thousand pesos.
- 7 apartments, including one in Acapulco, of 250 square meters and a value of 11 million 900 thousand pesos.
- 5 lots located in Baja California, with access to the sea. One of them is worth 2 million 350 thousand pesos.
- A ranch located in Morelos, of 25 hectares and 4,800 square meters in gray work, the value is 61 million 430 thousand pesos.
- A box at the Azteca Stadium with 20 places, a bathroom, a kitchenette and four parking spaces, is valid until 2065. The value is 20 million pesos.
“They are not new properties and will be delivered in the conditions that are,” emphasized Rodríguez.
For the raffle, 2 million pieces will be issued with a price of 250 pesos, each one with the possibility of winning a prize; winners will have 60 days to claim it.
The draw will take place on September 15 at 4:00 p.m. and will be broadcast live on official channels.
