President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) suggested the possibility that the Cuban doctors invited by their government could work on the new Center for Rehabilitation and Inclusion of Children Telethon (CRIT) which will be built in Tlapan, Guerrero.
However, the president of Fundación Teletón, Fernando Landeros, assured that the response of the Mexican medical specialists to the call to attend the Rehabilitation Center has been so positive that it will not be necessary to call the Cuban doctors more than to fill gaps.

If there were gaps or gaps, we would accept the president’s offer, so that these doctors could arrive as a complement. I get the impression that it would be small, due to the good response we have had from our collaborators,” Landeros commented in an interview with Ciro Gómez Leyva.
The Rehabilitation Center being built in Tlapa, Guerrero, will be a collaborative project between the federal government, which will provide the land, permits and scholarships for the children, and the Teletón Foundation, which will build and serve the medical care center.
Once the government confirms the donation of the land and delivers the deeds, Fundación Teletón will begin construction of the CRIT. In an estimated time of 12 months, medical operations could begin.
According to the publication of Radius Formulathe project will include new actions devised by Teletón to respond to the access difficulties presented by the Sierra de Guerrero, such as the Mobile Telethon, to bring medical care by truck to various municipalities, extramural sessions, telemedicine and the training of professionals through tele-education.
Fernando Landeros explained that in order to guarantee medical care at the CRIT in Tlapa, Guerrero, will prioritize the hiring of Mexican doctors over Cubans because “a doctor present is better than a doctor from a distance.”
