“We are excited to announce an expanded collaboration between AWS and Hugging Face to accelerate training, tuning, and deployment of large vision and language models used to build generative AI applications. Generative AI applications can perform a variety of tasks, including summarizing text, answering questions, generating code, creating images, and writing essays and articles, Amazon said in its statement.
Hugging Face selected AWS because it offers flexibility in state-of-the-art tools for training, tuning, and deploying Hugging Face models, including Amazon SageMaker AWS Trainium and AWS Inference . Developers using Hugging Face can now easily optimize performance and reduce costs to bring generative AI applications to production faster, he added.
The combination of the experience of hugging face in developing natural language models with Amazon’s ability to implement these technologies in its products and services may lead to major advances in human-machine interaction, and may also have implications for artificial intelligence (AI) research in general .
