Amazon.com announced today the opening of 400 new vacancies in Mexico for its customer service area.
All of the positions are to work from home, from where they must connect to Amazon’s virtual call center, and applicants are requested to be bilingual.
Vacancies are both managerial and agent and are available in Monterrey, Guadalajara and Mexico City.
“This vital position requires a flexible, action-oriented problem solver who helps customers expedite orders and correct after-sales problems,” Amazon says in the job description.
“Associates communicate with customers primarily via phone and email and use a variety of software tools to navigate customer accounts, research and review policies, and communicate effective solutions in a fun, fast-paced environment.” adds.

The mandatory requirements that are requested are:
- Live in Mexico City, the State of Mexico, Guadalajara or Monterrey.
- High school diploma.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have an English level equal to or greater than 85%.
- Have (or be able to obtain) high-speed internet service (10MGB download / 5MBG upload or better).
- Have (or be able to get) another means of communication (landline or personal cell phone, for emergencies).
The vacancies contemplate a work schedule of 40 hours a week and offer 2 to 3 days off.
