Alpine does not want half measures and from 2022 it will try to fight for the world title with Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon as representatives on the track. Both parties have discussed the extension of the Spanish driver’s contract.

Fernando Alonso, for his part, has also expressed his satisfaction with the agreement, stating that he is “very happy to confirm the extension of the contract with the Alpine F1 team until 2022.
