The new managers at the helm of Alfa Romeo have proposed to revitalize the brand at forced marches. The new strategy includes the launch of new models until 2026, at the rate of one each year. The new Tonale will open the season and will be followed by four more models in the coming years, of which no details have been specified.
When talking about new cars, a problem arises in terms of the term “new”, because we do not know if it is completely new models, never seen before, or simply it is about updates to existing ones. What may seem so simple, on brands like Alfa Romeo takes on special importance, because the brand has proposed “to be more brand”, as the Japanese Mazda has recently pointed out.

Five new models and production on demand, the keys to Alfa Romeo
The calendar of the new models of the Arese house includes 2023 to put into the fray the replacement for the MiTo, a small crossover that will be based on the CMP platform of the Peugeot 2008 and that, to this day, is known as Alfa Romeo Brennero. This model is also one of the most important, as it will be the first to have a fully electric variant. The next two are the Giulia and Stelvio relays, of those who should have faced a partial renovation and bet on electrification and of whom nothing is known.
While it is true that its presentation is officially scheduled for the end of 2021, sources point out that this facelift could have been postponed until a new generation that will arrive in 2024, too long if a soft drink earlier. The intention of the brand is that, by the middle of the decade, all new models have a hybrid version, since from 2027 all the novelties will already be 100% electric.
According to “Reuters”, Jean Philippe Imparato, CEO of Alfa Romeo, will also implement the “build to order” production system. Like the vast majority of brands, the “made to order” method will avoid incurring unnecessary production costs avoiding, also, the old and feared large stocks of units that were stored in fields, since customers buy their cars based on personal settings. A more successful measure that will allow Alfa Romeo’s accounts to be cleaned up in search of greater efficiency.
