Who is Ahsoka Tano and why is she so important in the Star Wars saga?
TO Ahsoka Tano we first saw her as a 14-year-old Padawan with Anakin Skywalker as her teacher. She was one of the supporting characters in the animated film Star Wars: The Clone Wars. She later also appeared in the series of the same name. Then we saw her in Star Wars Rebels as part of the rebel alliance.
In 2020 he made his debut in a series live action with Rosario Dawson playing the character. We saw her in the second season of The Mandalorian. The character reappeared during one of the episodes of Boba Fett’s book.
Ahsoka Tano was created by George Lucas and Dave Filoni. The idea was to show how, through her, Anakin Skywalker goes from being the undisciplined Padawan of Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones to the Jedi of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith.
Initially conceived as a foil, that is, a character that contrasts with the protagonist, to highlight his qualities, it ended up having more and more importance within the Star Wars franchise. Filoni has explained in several interviews that she is one of her favorite characters and that she has tried to protect him throughout the saga’s productions.
She is currently one of the most complex and most present female characters in Star Wars. So much so that she has earned her own series. There is little left to see the adventures of Ahsoka Tano unraveling an emerging threat in a vulnerable galaxy, after the events of Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi.
