EY presents the winners of its EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ program in Mexico, which recognizes entrepreneurs who always find a way to create a better world, especially in the face of an adverse environment such as the one we are facing due to the COVID pandemic -19, geopolitical challenges and the impact of the climate crisis.
EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ is the only global entrepreneurial talent recognition program held on six continents, more than 60 countries and more than 145 cities around the world. Year after year, winners from different countries gather in Monaco to enter the EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year™ Hall of Fame and contend for the title of World Entrepreneur Of The Year.
This 2022, 31 leaders from 23 companies established in four states of the Republic participated: Mexico City, Jalisco, Nuevo León and Quintana Roo. It should be noted that, together, they generate more than 1,800 jobs and more than 3,000 million pesos in sales.
Agustín Coppel has been named National Winner of EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ 2022 Mexico. At the helm of Grupo Coppel, a Mexican company founded in 1941, Agustín has distinguished himself by providing his customers with an inclusive experience, which has allowed him to consolidate Coppel as the mass market’s favorite omnichannel and financial services store. With more than 1,000 points of sale established in Mexico, Brazil and Argentina, it offers a wide variety of products that respond to people’s needs and desires.
Agustín Coppel will be the one to represent Mexico at EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year™ 2023, which will take place in Monaco and will bring together the winning entrepreneurs from more than 60 countries where EY carries out this program.

Fernando Padilla, Pretmex. Fernando created Pretmex in 2007, a one hundred percent Mexican FinTech focused on solving the financing needs of companies, mainly SMEs, in a digital and personalized way. With the support of a talented team of 55 collaborators, he creates different solutions to address the concerns of his clients and funders.

Juan José Mora, Atlantia Search. Juan José launched Atlantia Search in 2012 and since then it has become one of the most important consumer insights marketplaces in Latin America, helping companies better understand their consumers, brands, prices, products and locations. Its 60 professionals combine technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and big data to achieve the highest satisfaction rate.

Gustavo Garcia, Skye Group. Gustavo created Skye Group in 2010, a company dedicated to providing consulting services and developing applied innovation for the approval of ideas, the development of products, the validation of concepts and the launch of startup. The Skye Group team is made up of 17 professionals who develop technological tools to promote the transformation of companies.
Social Impact Category
Regina Espinoza Athié, tell me. The story of Cuéntame began in 2018 with the purpose of transforming the way companies approach mental health. Today it has become a platform that identifies, prevents and resolves psychosocial risks. Through Cuéntame, employees find tools for their well-being and organizations access data that allows them to measure the threat of burnout, comply with regulations and reduce turnover.

Claudio X. González Laporte, Chairman of the Board of Kimberly-Clark Mexico. For a lifetime of commitment, a lifetime of success and a lifetime of effort, Laporte has been honored with the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ 2022 Mexico lifetime award.
