Last October, the Relic Entertainment team released Age of Empires IV, the latest installment in Microsoft’s well-known strategy franchise. Although the title has not reached excellence in every way, the truth is that it has been highly valued by both the specialized press and the general public.
Of course, Age of Empires IV only reached the PC market at its launch, but it seems that that could change shortly, as we have seen in a leak, which ensures that Age of Empires IV would be being tested on Xbox.

Age of Empires IV would be being tested on Xbox
As we can see in the tweet shared by the user @ALumia_ItaliaIt seems that the Xbox insider Hub program has added a new element for its testing, which is called XIP_CAR_JANUARY_2022. This name would not tell us anything by itself, but things change when we know that Cardinal is the codename of Age of Empires IV.

Therefore, according to the information provided by the user, it seems that Age of Empires IV would be being tested on Xbox via the Xbox Insider Hub. If so, it seems that the same could happen as with other titles that first came to PC and later to Xbox consoles, such as Microsoft Flight Simulator or Gears Tactics.
Be that as it may, for now there is no official confirmation of this information, so it only remains to wait for time to dictate if Age of Empires IV will finally arrive on Xbox consoles in the near future.
