just look ahead
Finally, Quinzaños stressed that we are living in a key period in the history of the world, in which it is necessary to leave behind the nostalgia for supposedly better times in the past and look towards the future.
“In 1981 the remakes they represented only 16% of the films, and in 2019, before the pandemic, they represented 80% of the feature films. It shows that sometimes we want to stay with the universes we already know, because other universes scare us, make us uncomfortable, but it is very necessary to create new universes”.
The El Gran Bajío initiative is like a special ship that, according to Quinzaños, will take Mexico to a better future, hand in hand with businessmen who have put excuses aside and have begun to act, to collaborate in harmony.
Proof of this is that in the last 30 years the Bajío has attracted more than 4,400 companies, in an environment of more than 170 industrial parks. In addition, more than 250 universities, 100 research centers and 100 highly specialized centers are located in this area of the country.
“We are promoting a new business agenda, linking industries, innovating and consolidating companies, we are telling a new story, so that the next generations can say again (as they used to say in 1821, the date of the consummation of the independence of Mexico) that There is no greater honor for a human being than to have been born Mexican,” concluded Quinzaños.
