The use of artificial intelligence (AI) continues to revolutionize the industry, but it has also meant a series of challenges for many in the world. Recently, it was revealed that Adobe Systems announced an innovative measure to provide legal protection to its users in cases of lawsuits related to the use of its AI.
This use of this technology is demonstrated in its growth, where data from Gartner, reveal that the global business value derived from artificial intelligence is estimated to total $1.2 trillion in 2018, an increase of no less than 70 percent compared to 2017.
In that sense, according to a report by MarketsandMarkets, the global market for artificial intelligence in marketing is expected to reach 25.56 billion dollars in 2025, with a compound annual growth rate of 29.7 percent between 2020 and 2025.
What’s new from Adobe and AI
As part of its changes, the technology company announced that it will provide financial compensation to its users for possible copyright problems arising from the use of its Firefly tool.
The information arose within the framework of the Adobe Summit EMEA 2023 conference, where the company admitted that this measure seeks to offer “tranquility and support” to its customers while they use its technological tool.
“Adobe Firefly empowers users of any skill level to instantly turn ideas into content, while leveraging the power of Express and Creative Cloud to rapidly modify assets and deliver standout designs,” said David Wadhwani, President of Digital Media Business at Adobe. .
In that sense, he added that the Firefly for Enterprise Firefly platform is programmed to be safe for commercial use by many companies.
From what they explained, companies also have the opportunity to obtain IP compensation from Adobe for content generated by certain workflows powered by Firefly, allowing them to deploy it throughout their organization with confidence.
“As proof that we stand behind business security and readiness for these features, Adobe has long offered compensation for the use of its own products, and in particular for stock images,” said Claude Alexandre, Vice President of Digital Media at Adobe.
This is not the only action that the technology company is taking around the use of AI, so it adds to Adobe’s ongoing efforts to foster a creative, safe, and ethical environment.
Therefore, the company has implemented rigorous copyright compliance policies and works closely with rights holders to protect intellectual property and promote legal practices in the use of its software and tools.
And it is thus, that this measure demonstrates Adobe’s commitment to the protection of its users and its willingness to assume responsibility in legal situations related to the use of its AI.
With this, there are many companies that are applying actions against the use of AI, so that it is done in a responsible and safe way for all those involved.
