California Governor Gavin Newsom is accused of interfering in lawsuits against Activision Blizzard.
In protest, a lawyer resigned and the legal director of the DFEH was fired after resigning due to alleged obstacles by the governor’s cabinet, in the first instance.
So far there is no clear judicial determination by which the victims will be compensated.

Activision faces new controversy

“The Governor’s Office has repeatedly demanded that it be informed in advance of the litigation strategy and the next steps in the litigation. As we continued to win in state court, this interference increased, mimicking the interests of Activision’s attorney.”
