activityn has finished its second fiscal quarter of 2022 with an interesting result. The firm specializing in video games has made more money from games designed for mobile than from those available for PC and consoles simultaneously. Thanks in part to the availability of titles like Call of Duty Mobile either Candy Crush Sagaas stated in the report published by the company itself.
Specific, 51% of profits that Activision has obtained during the second quarter of 2022 have been thanks to mobile games. They are, altogether, $831 million in revenue, compared to $332 million in revenue for games available on PC, and $376 million for console video games. In fact, the sum of the total of both devices is slightly below what was obtained thanks to mobile: 708 million dollars in PC + console, compared to 831 million dollars in mobile.
The report also reveals that part of the profits were obtained thanks to games like candy crush Y FarmHeroes. The combination of both generated a total of 680 million dollars for Activision during its second fiscal quarter of the year.
Activision will continue to invest in mobile games
These results are just one more proof of the potential of mobile games, although Call of Duty Mobile is not going as expected and its number of players continues to decline every month. Even so, Activision assures that they will continue to invest in this area

Meanwhile, Activision continues to be involved in a controversy over allegations related to cases of harassment and “toxic culture” that were revealed by The Wall Street Journal last November. Despite this, Microsoft did not hesitate to close an agreement to acquire the video game firm for 68.7 billion dollars. Precisely to enhance Microsoft’s video game area, Microsoft Gaming and, probably, to include some of the company’s most important titles, such as Call of Duty, world of warcraft or Overwatchon its cloud gaming service.
