Konami certainly took us by surprise by announcing that Pre Evolution Soccer would essentially disappear, and instead we would have something known as eFootball, an experience free-to-play that will be in constant evolution. In addition to not having microtransactions, it seems that it will not be a pay-to-win.
Talking with the media Loadout, Seitaro Kimura, producer of the franchise, assured fans that there will be no content pay-to-win within eFootball:
“We are focusing on ensuring that all players can enjoy a fair title, so the game will not be a pay-to-win system where the pay elements determine who wins or loses in a match.”
When it was revealed that eFootball it would be free, the community worried about the possible microtransactions that could flood the title, but at least for now, it seems we have nothing to worry about. Let’s see if they don’t implement some controversial post-launch system.
