You just need to see how profitable the external battery business is to see that have become the indispensable accessory for many people. Mobile phones are advancing and improving at a dizzying rate, but we continue to use decades-old battery technology. Even Apple has jumped on the bandwagon with its MagSafe battery.
And the more energy demand, the more power these batteries have been acquiring. We saw it with Mophie, and now we have a chance to see it with the Belkin Boost Charge and Your Options. With it we have extra autonomy, but also versatility. Let’s see.

The first thing you can appreciate about the Boost Charge 10K is its rounded edge design. It seems secondary, but allows a comfortable grip with the hand. The back is finished in a hard rigid plastic that I have no complaints about either, with the front covered in a material that feels similar to the silicone used by Apple in its cases. It is pleasant, although it easily attracts dust and dirt particles.
The MagSafe ring on which the iPhone is lined up for charging is clearly marked on that surface, and a top slit leaves a perfect gap for the bulge of the cameras. I have been doing my tests using an iPhone 13 Max, so that the battery is hidden under it (the opposite must be the case with the iPhone 13 mini, for example).
On the lower side we have two ports: a USB-C and a classic USB-A. With the latter we can charge an additional iPhone or any other device that you can connect to there, while the USB-C port also serves to charge the battery itself in addition to charging more terminals.
Therefore, you can charge up to three different devices (two with cable and one iPhone using MagSafe) or you can connect the battery to charge it and also serve as a charging base for two more devices. It gives a lot of versatility, which is just what is most requested in batteries of this type.
As for the autonomy, the 10,000 mAh allow me charge the entire battery of my iPhone 13 Pro Max at a more than decent speed (the 7.5W is noticeable) and there is still a little more charge left to perhaps give the AirPods a boost. If you charge more devices at the same time, that load capacity is reduced, but it is still enough to save you a day when you have to depend on your mobile.
The included cable is a one meter USB-C to USB-C, a suitable length to carry it in the backpack without bulging too much, although we can always use the USB-C cable of another device (such as that of a iPad Pro) to be able to charge the battery without problems. A charging adapter is not included, but at the height we are at, I will not complain: Apple’s own adapter or any other that we can buy works without problems.
What I do not recommend is to use the mobile with the battery connected behind it, since with the example of the iPhone 13 Pro Max you get to have more than half a kilo in your hands. It is best to connect the iPhone to the battery only when we are not using it, for more comfort.
The MagSafe dock is also capable of carrying second-generation AirPods in its case, and It is used to charge any other iPhone or smartphone with Qi charging though MagSafe magnets stop working.
The Boost Crarge 10K is not only a good battery: it also works as a charging base connected or not to the current
Interestingly, I have surprised myself using this battery not as an auxiliary charger, but more as a charging base to use during the day. As the iPhone 13 Pro Max has so much autonomy, I have gone from charging the phone overnight to doing it whenever I am working at my desk. The Boost Charge 10K works very well as a charging base, especially since you can avoid having cables in the way. In any case, let it be the battery itself that you leave charging overnight.
Surely you would not do this if instead of having an iPhone 13 Pro Max you had an iPhone 13 mini, requiring more charges during the day or a full charge at night. But even so, the capacity and all the possibilities of use would allow me to be calm to be able to choose the charging routine that I prefer.
Seeing all this compatibility and flexibility of use, I would recommend this Boost Charge 10K for those who have any model of iPhone 12 or an iPhone 13. If you have an older iPhone and are not considering renewal plans, I would tell you to look for a battery with a capacity similar without MagSafe and thus have something more universal.
But if on the other hand you want a battery specially designed for your iPhone 12 or 13, with versatility, charging alternatives for more devices and a higher capacity than the official MagSafe Battery, This Boost Charge 10K is a good choice if you don’t care about its weight.
