If it is already difficult to count all the games that Ubisoft has in development, an insider adds another new project that the French company would be working on and, of course, it would be a new shooter. Specifically, Project Qas it would be provisionally called, it would be a new battle royale. Something quite surprising given that his previous bet on the genre, Hyper Scape, ended up ceasing its activity shortly after and the arrival of Ghost Recon: Frontline, also a battle royale, is also pending.
According to a new leak, Ubisoft would be testing a new game known as Project Q, which would be a new IP. It would be about an “innovative and modern PvP combat arena game” that in this test it would have two game modes: Battle Zone, a 4 vs 4 mode that is similar to modes like Hardpoint from Call of Duty, and Showdown, which would include 4 teams of 2 players (via exuter). Two modes a priori quite traditional.
The first testers speak of an original experience with varied weapons ranging from traditional weapons to a paintball gun or fireworks and unique abilities for each character. It has also been compared to Overwatch, as it would have a cartoon-like visual style similar to the Blizzard game.
The Ubisoft Factory
For now it is not entirely clear when it could be presented, but it is to be expected that Project Q will be one of those more than 20 games that Ubisoft would have in development, according to insiders like Tom Henderson. It is possible that this new shooter will be shown this summer at some kind of Ubisoft event, since there will be no E3 2022. With everything that has been announced and everything that remains to be announced, according to leaks, Ubisoft has a huge future. ahead in terms of number of releases, we will see if he manages to hit the bell with any of them.
