The list of video games that have and will have their adaptation on the small screen is getting longer and longer. From Halo until The Last of Us or resident Evil, series and movies continue to take a leading role in the area of video games. This time, the focus is on the game of Asobo Studio, A Plague Talewhich will be converted to a string.
Released in 2019, A Plague Tale: Innocence is an action, adventure, and stealth video game set in 14th century France, where the Hundred Years’ War and the plague take place. The story follows the brothers amitia and Hugo De Rune while going through not only the pandemic that took the lives of millions of people, but also an incipient persecution of the inquisition of the French south. The person who will be in charge of the next series of A Plague Tale be Mathieu Turi, who shared the news on Twitter and commented that he feels very honored to be at the forefront of this adaptation. In addition to expressing his excitement at bringing amitia already Hugo to the screen, Turi thanked Asobo Studio already Focus Entertainment (co-producer of the future series) for her trust.

On the other hand, Fabrice Renaultdirector of Merlin Productionswill be in charge of the production of the future series and expressed: “For me it is essential that our productions reflect French talent. A Plague Tale is a game developed in Bordeaux by Asobo Studio, a Paris-based company; its creators had the opportunity to sell the rights to this adaptation to the United States, but have preferred to work with the French. I want to return this trust to them.”
So far there are no more details about the series, but let’s remember that this year the sequel to the video game will be released, A Plague Tale: Requiem. It is not known if in the future the series could incorporate events from that second game that will bring back amitia already Hugo on a dangerous new quest, “doing whatever it takes to survive in a brutal and uncaring world.”
