Steve dons the DOOM Slayer costume and swaps the pickaxe and sword for the shotgun and chainsaw.
It seems that Minecraft will never cease to amaze by what people are capable of doing with its simple premise of building with blocks, from recreating the Wheatheat City of Pokémon to making a DOOM map, like the user we bring today. Task that has taken you about two years and more than 1200 hours of work. The result is incredible, yes.
This creation of Sibogy that I shared through the Reddit forums, is not only a map of the creative mode of Minecraft that recreates the aesthetics of a DOOM map, very aptly with that Martian style, gore and futuristic constructions I would say, but it is about a whole adventure map. This means that it can be played and it also has new weapons and enemies inspired by the ID Software game. Even the music is just as hot as the DOOM Slayer game, check out its first trailer.
This Minecraft adventure map has a trick, in a way, as it introduces custom models both in the constructions and in the enemies themselves and weapons. This means that it has not been done with the base game, but has mods, but the result is so impressive that it does not matter. It would have been impossible to recreate certain elements without the help of personalized content.
Watching this type of community-created content, it’s no wonder Minecraft continues to be the most popular game on video platforms like YouTube. On the one hand, Mojang has been able to support the game during all these years with updates such as Caves and Cliffs or the Wild Update that will arrive in 2022, while on the other hand, content creators have seen a blank canvas where to create all kinds of art. The perfect combination.
