Many years have passed without fans of one of the horror sagas par excellence of video games knowing anything about a new installment. We talk about Silent hill, which is still in the hands of Konami but without certainty about its future. Now a fan remake shows what Silent Hill would look like in Unreal Engine 5, the new graphics engine from Epic Games and that is delighting both professional developers and fans. Below you can see a video of almost five minutes in length that completely transforms and modernizes the mythical beginning of the first Silent Hill.
“This is a fan remake of Silent Hill, we are not related or have anything to do with Konami and its intellectual property. This footage is a real time gameplay running on Unreal Engine 5”, Comment its creators in the description of the video that you can see just above these lines. In this video you will see the updated version of Harry Mason touring the misty streets of Silent Hill in search of his missing daughter. However, he ends up reaching a dark alley with reddish tinges in which a nightmare awaits him that he would never have imagined.
Hideo Kojima confirms he’s working on two games
While this fan remake in development makes us fantasize about the possibility that something like this exists in the future officially, rumors have pointed out in recent years that there would be several Silent Hill projects underway, one of them from the hand of Bloober Team (Layers of Fear, Blair Witch, The Medium). For now there is nothing official and we will have to keep waiting to know for sure if any of these rumors it has a reliable base and it ends up becoming a reality that all horror fans dream of for years.
