What would you do if you could travel 65 million years in time? How would they face the threats of nature in those dangerous times? That is the premise of 65, the new Adam Driver film for which we finally have its first trailer. Here we present it to you and tell you everything you need to know.
What is it about?
After a catastrophic accident on an unknown planet, pilot Mills (Adam Driver) quickly discovers that he is actually stranded on Earth… 65 million years ago. Now, with only one chance at rescue, Mills and the sole survivor, Koa (Ariana Greenblatt), must fight their way through unfamiliar terrain plagued by dangerous prehistoric creatures in an epic fight for survival.
Cast and production crew
As can be seen in the synopsis and the trailer, 65 is a movie with a fairly small cast. In addition to Adam Driver, we will also find Ariana Greenblatt (the Gamora girl from Avengers: Infinity War) and Chloe Coleman (great spies).
The truly interesting thing about this production is the team behind the scenes. The direction and the script are carried out by Scott Becks and Bryan Woods, who wrote the praised a place in silence. For this reason, during the trailer there is the feeling that nature will be a fearsome enemy. As if that wasn’t enough, Sam Raimi is one of the producers, so expect a movie with its fair share of suspense and horror.
Why is it worth taking a look?
As can be seen in the trailer, Adam Driver and company will not face any kind of threat, but impressive dinosaurs that do not plan to let him live. Although these appear very little in the advance, perhaps that gives us an idea of the great role that they will play in the tape. Plus, it’s always refreshing to see an original sci-fi offering. This was expressed by Bryan Woods during his participation in the Nightstream Film Festival of 2020 (via The Nightturnal).
“For us, 65 was the project we wrote when A Quiet Place came out and the studio decided it would be a franchise. We wrote A Quiet Place because we were tired of the aftermath. The only movies being made were sequels, franchises, and superhero movies. We wrote this movie out of that.”
When is the movie released 65?
This story full of action, adventure and dinosaurs will hit theaters in the United States on March 10. For now, there is no release date for Mexico, but we will be waiting for the official announcement.
