Does your little one not like going to school? Possibly you are going through one of these situations.
It is a universal truth: many children do not like school, and they look forward to the weekend to rest from homework, get up late, play or go for a walk.
However, there are children who definitely do not like going to school and parents think that our children are lazy or have no sense of responsibility for their studies. And many times it is not.
The school disinterest may consist of several factors that, as parents, we should consider if we see that our children feel a deep rejection toward school and studies. Among them are the following:
1. Stress and tiredness: For some children, exams and other tests can stress and distress them, so they lose sleep and therefore do not rest well. This problem may increase over time.
2. A bad relationship with their teachers: It is not that teachers are tyrants and mistreat our children but since childhood our way of being defines who we like and who does not. Many children do not empathize with their teachers, causing discouragement to go to class.
3. School environment: Maybe your little one will find it difficult to socialize with his group and have no friends. Friendship is a very important factor to attend school because it works as a motivation daily.
4. Poor diet: One of the most recurring problems is the lack of a healthy diet. Many children are sent to class without having a proper breakfast, reflecting a lack of energy, a bad mood, reluctance and poor concentration.
5. Tasks: Sometimes our children need our help to prepare their tasks and due to different factors we cannot help them, which can lead to them not doing it or taking it poorly. This can cause stress or disinterest in school if the problem is recurring.
6. Bullying: This is one of the most serious problems children face in schools, and victims are usually silent. The aggression that children suffer can be physical and emotional.
If your little one does not like school and there are days when he is not ready to get out of bed, remember that communication is an important key to combat the problem.
Talk to him and his teachers. Join him during his homework and ask him if he has any doubts with any subject, and give him more support during exam time so that he feels encouraged.
Feed him properly and watch his sleep schedules.
If your discouragement persists, we recommend you consult a specialist.
